Two Girls Rescued from Tree Amid Texas Flooding

Two girls who managed to hold onto a tree during severe flooding in Kerr, Texas, have been rescued alive, according to local newspaper The Kerr County Lead.

The girls were discovered in the tree on Sunday as search teams continued efforts to locate victims following the catastrophic floods that struck the area on Friday. The disaster has resulted in at least 59 fatalities in the county, making it one of the deadliest natural disasters in Texas history.

Authorities report that the rescue has provided a moment of hope amid ongoing recovery operations. Search teams are still looking for eleven other girls who remain missing from Camp Mystic, a summer camp situated in the flood-affected region.
