Ukrainian Summit Scheduled for Saturday – Støre to Participate Virtually

On Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has extended an invitation to leaders from the member nations of the "coalition of the willing" for a meeting in Ukraine. This coalition comprises 31 countries that have pledged significant support for Ukraine's defense efforts following Russia's invasion. The initiative is spearheaded by the United Kingdom and France, according to reports from NTB.

Norway is among the coalition members, with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre confirming that he will attend the meeting virtually, as stated by the Prime Minister's office to NRK.

Additionally, on Friday, Ukraine received an invitation to deepen its involvement in the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), a security collaboration that includes ten nations: the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway. These countries have agreed to include Ukraine in joint military exercises, and President Zelenskyy engaged with the member states via video link on the same day.
