LO Congress Approves Expanded Boycott Against Israel

The LO Congress has adopted a resolution advocating for an expanded boycott of Israel. This decision mandates that the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global, along with Norwegian companies and financial institutions, divest from entities that are involved in the Israeli occupation. The resolution also calls for the establishment of a legal prohibition against such trade and investment practices. Furthermore, LO urges the Norwegian government to take action aimed at ending Israel's occupation and the blockade of Gaza. Should the occupation persist beyond September 2025, LO plans to advocate for Norway to initiate an international economic boycott.
