No Evidence of Cable Sabotage by Chinese Vessel

Investigations led by Chinese authorities have revealed that the vessel Yi Peng 3 towed its anchor on the port side for a duration of one and a half days. During this time, the ship covered a distance of 180 nautical miles. However, the Swedish Accident Investigation Authority has not found sufficient evidence to support claims of intentional sabotage against the underwater data cables connecting Sweden with Lithuania, Germany, and Finland. These cables were damaged in November of the previous year. The inquiry into the ship and its crew is ongoing, and the cable breaks are being investigated as potential criminal acts in several countries, including Sweden.
