Multiple Prisons in France Targeted in Attacks

Recent incidents in France have seen attempts to intimidate prison staff, involving actions such as the use of burning vehicles and the discharge of automatic weapons, according to Gérard Darmanin, the French Minister of Justice. He announced plans to visit Toulon, located in the southern part of the country, where one of the affected prisons is situated. Darmanin expressed his intention to provide support to the prison personnel impacted by these events. He emphasized that France is currently facing challenges related to drug trafficking and is implementing measures that significantly disrupt criminal networks.
