Norwegian Astronaut Jannicke Mikkelsen Returns to Norway After Space Mission

Norwegian astronaut Jannicke Mikkelsen returned to Norway on Monday following her participation in the Fram 2 space mission earlier this April. The 38-year-old astronaut served as the commander of the SpaceX mission, during which she utilized her skills as a filmmaker to document the journey. The mission was privately funded by Maltese entrepreneur Chun Wang, who also took part in the flight alongside German robotics researcher Rabia Rogge, marking her as the first German woman to travel to space, and Australian Eric Philips. The spacecraft, Fram 2, is named after the historic Norwegian polar ship Fram, which was used in three significant expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic regions.
