Sweden Increases Aid to Ukraine by Billions

Sweden has announced a historic increase in its financial support for Ukraine, with an additional 1.4 billion Swedish kronor allocated, marking the largest civilian aid package in the country's history. According to Minister for International Development Cooperation, Benjamin Dousa, this brings Sweden's total annual assistance to Ukraine to 7.8 billion kronor, which represents 14 percent of the nation's overall aid budget. The funding will primarily be directed towards humanitarian assistance and will be sourced through reallocations within the existing aid budget. This significant boost underscores Sweden's commitment to supporting Ukraine during a challenging period.
