Norwegian F-35s to Escort U.S. Bomber Over Eastern Norway

On Friday, Norwegian F-35 fighter jets will escort a U.S. bomber during a training exercise over Eastern Norway. The aircraft are expected to fly at low altitude over Akershus Fortress at around noon. This operation is part of a broader exercise involving the U.S. Bomber Task Force in the Nordic region, as confirmed by the Norwegian Armed Forces.
Norwegian Defense Minister Tore O. Sandvik emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, "The United States is our largest and most important ally. It is crucial for them to come here and train alongside us. Their presence in Norway sends a strong message about America's commitment to European and Norwegian security."
The aircraft will be prominently visible across Oslo, particularly in the city center, allowing residents to witness this demonstration of military cooperation.
