Agreement Reached for Launch of Two Norwegian Small Satellites from Andøya

The Norwegian Space Agency has finalized a contract for the launch of two small satellites from Andøya, marking a significant milestone in the country's space endeavors. This agreement is with the German company ISAR Aerospace, which will utilize the launch platform at Andøya Spaceport. The satellites will be deployed using the Spectrum rocket, which is set to become the first operational space rocket to be launched from Norway. The initial test launch of the Spectrum rocket is anticipated to occur within the next few days.
Although the two Norwegian satellites are not scheduled for launch until 2028, there will be several other satellite launches from Andøya Spaceport in the interim. The satellites, part of the Arctic Ocean Surveillance (AOS) program, are intended for maritime monitoring, contributing to enhanced oversight of the region's waters.
