Worried about my 6-year-old’s sudden tics – is this normal?

I’m really worried right now. 😞

Over the past few months, my 6-year-old daughter has developed several tics. It started with excessive blinking and squinting, then turned into constant sniffing. Now she’s rolling her eyes and tilting her head to one side in a repetitive motion. It seems like when a new tic appears, the old ones fade away. This has been going on for about 3–4 months, but the more noticeable tics have really intensified in the last few weeks.

I can’t stop worrying that this might be Tourette’s. Does anyone have experience with something similar? Has your child gone through this?

I’ve read that it’s not uncommon for kids this age to have temporary tics, but since hers seem to be getting worse, I’m really scared.

I’m planning to talk to a doctor soon, but I’d love to hear from others who have been through this. Any advice or reassurance would mean the world to me. 💙
